E-mail Solution



Email (Electronic Mail):- A system of world-wide electronic communication in which a computer user can compose a message at one terminal that can be regenerated at the recipient's terminal when the recipient logs in “you cannot send packages by electronic mail"

Email Clients: An email client, email reader, or more formally mail user agent (MUA), is a computer program used to access and manage a user's email.
Mostly Email Clients that we are using on the computer.

Windows XP Support Email Clients: Outlook Express, Microsoft Outlook and Mozilla Thunderbird.

Windows Vista, 7 and 8: Microsoft Outlook, Windows Live Mail and Mozilla Thunderbird.

Apple MAC Computers: Microsoft Entourage & Apple Mail.

Configure Email in Email clients.
  Using email clients programs with Comcast email.
To set up a new email account: 

   Click the Office button located in the left most corners. Under the Info category you will see Account Settings. Click the drop down button and choose Add Account.

      Check the manually configure server settings or additional server types radio button and click Next.

     Select Internet Email then click Next.

     Fill in all fields for User, Server, and Logon information.
Incoming mail server: mail.comcast.net
Outgoing mail server: smtp.comcast.net
Click the
 More Settings button


 
     In the Outgoing Server tab, check the box marked My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication and ensure the Use same settings as my incoming mail server is selected.  


 
    In the Advanced Tab change the Incoming Server (POP3) to port 110 and make sure the box next to 'This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL)' is NOT checked.  Change theOutgoing Server (SMTP) to port 587 and change 'Use this following type of encrypted connection'  to None then click OK 

   Check the settings by clicking Test Account Settings on the Internet Email Settings screen.  When test completes click Close 

     Click Next then click Finish
